Special Evening at Eddie's Attic To Benefit Neighbor in Need!

Take two world famous Gospel Blues Masters, throw in 5 Big Hearted Bluegrass Dad's and then sprinkle it over with a lot of love. Thats the recipe for our next Neighbor in Need fundraiser.

Kirkwood's 5 time Grammy winner, Ricky McKinney and his equally decorated bandmate, Jimmy Carter, comprise the heart and soul of The Blind Boys of Alabama. Those two legends will take the stage at Eddie's Attic with Atlanta's DeJa Bluegrass Band for a special evening to benefit Neighbor in Need. The show is Sunday, August 24.

You can buy tickets on line or in person at Eddie's Attic. www.eddiesattic.com

Blind Boy's Tour Manager and Drew Charter School dad, Chuck Shiver's, put it quite well, " it's so easy to support Neighbor in Need. What they do is amazing for our seniors. When Ricky and Jimmy heard about the program, they couldn't wait to do what they could to help."

Deja Blue Grass BandThe Deja Bluegrass Band have been long time supporters of our local seniors. Mandolin Player and CHO (Chief Harmony Officer) Rutland Walker, says, "we are all from around here. We know the value of what Neighbor in Need does. And, we get to join up and help with 2 of our heroes, to do what we love. We can't wait!"

Neighbor in Need, inc., has been helping low income, elderly homeowners in East Lake, Kirkwood and Edgewood make emergency home repairs for more than 13 years. The organization is 100% volunteer run and never charges for repairs.

Tables and tickets for the show are still available. If you love great music, love your neighbors and want to do some good while feeling good. We hope to see you there!
